Often times, military families especially, are put in the stressful position of having to make a home purchase before they have the time to get acquainted with the area, much less the subdivision, and even less the builder of their possible new home. How to get to Crestwood: Locate Bemiss Road on your map.
Turn to the E onto Guest Road (Guest Road only goes to the East, there is no Guest Road to the West).
Locate Freedom Park. Go farther, just past the Railroad Tracks, and turn Right into Crestwood – this is where the video tour above begins.
(The railroad tracks are used for short line rail service, 2 days a week, usually one round trip, 8-12 cars long, one engine, traveling at 35 mph, delivering goods to MAFB and some agricultural goods, during the day only.)
Public education is provided by the Lowndes County School system. Dewar Elementary, Pine Grove Middle School, and Lowndes High School are currently the schools servicing Crestwood families and their children. (Click on the link to the schools). Valdosta has a number of excellent private schools as well.
Crestwood is just a few short minutes to Moody Air Force Base to the north, and Valdosta State University to the south. Along the way, you will find South Georgia Medical Center, Smith Northview Hospital, many grocery stores, restaurants, banks, and stores for all your cares and wants!
